eCharge4Drivers took part in the Autonomy Mobility World Expo 2023 last week in Paris, on 22-23 March. The event brought together more than 300 international policymakers, institutions, NGOs, corporations, companies, and start-ups to discuss sustainable urban mobility solutions.
As part of the CITY VOICES – #GetOurCitiesMoving conference track organised by POLIS and AUTONOMY, Pedro Gomes, Project Manager at POLIS, used the opportunity showcase how innovative projects like eCharge4Drivers can support the EU-wide uptake of e-mobility, at the Session “Scaled Electromobility: What’s new? What’s next?” on 23 March. The session discussed the role that cities play in the transition to electromobility in Europe for a more sustainable and smarter future for urban mobility. The panel also covered the importance of electrifying the entire urban mobility system for freight and people while addressing issues related to the user-friendliness and interoperability of the charging infrastructure.
Karen Vancluysen, Secretary General at POLIS, moderated the session, which included the following speakers: Pedro Gomes, Project Manager – POLIS; Ioannis Toskas, CEO – Thessaloniki Transport Authority; Sergio Fernandez Balaguer, Head of International Department, Institutional Affairs and CSR Directorate – EMT Madrid; Tim Asperges, Mobility Advisor – City of Leuven; Françoise Guaspare, Senior Advisor – Ile-de-France; Anne Smart, Global Head of Policy – ChargePoint; Harm Weken, Managing Partner – FIER.
