eCharge4Drivers has a broad range of 10 demonstration sites to ensure that the input and feedback collected covers different geographical and cultural contexts, and to make sure that the interoperability of systems and solutions can be demonstrated in variable conditions and expanded to even more areas in the future.

The demonstration areas have been chosen to cover long and short distance trips in both urban and extra-urban environments, and to represent different European countries where there could be obstacles for the deployment of Electric Vehicle charging and where user experiences might be different. The demonstrations in metropolitan areas aim to provide alternative and complementary types of charging options to cover the needs of all citizens.

The nationwide demonstrations focus on providing user-friendly interoperable charging options and services to maximise the number of customers that can be served.

The project systems and services will therefore be replicable to other areas and will improve the charging experience in Europe and beyond.
